Our Services

NASS offers a variety of services, including training, school security assessments, and technical assistance.

Training – Since our inception, NASS has conducted seminars, workshops, symposia, and in-service training for individual schools, school districts, state and national educational organizations, law enforcement and federal agencies and parent groups.

NASS training programs have involved over 100,000 attendees throughout the United States, Canada, Bermuda, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

School Security Assessments – NASS has been conducting assessments since the early 1980s. The pioneers in this field, NASS has done assessments from large urban school districts with several hundred schools to rural areas with only a handful of schools. The purpose of an assessment is to provide school administrators with better understanding of their preparedness to deal with a serious security incident. The assessment also provides insight on how safe students and staff feel in their school.

The tragedies of the past several years has rekindled the interest of schools in having an outside agency come in to assess their needs and make responsible recommendations. Several "self assessment" tools available on the market, however, NASS understands that it is difficult to conduct a self-assessment and obtain an accurate picture of assets, threats, vulnerabilities, potential losses and solutions for safeguarding a school or school system's assets.

Price is based upon number of schools included in the assessment and the scope of the assessment. Call for a quote.

Technical Assistance - Because of our years of school-based experience, we are in a position to provide school districts with special assistance, including, but not limited to: Review of school board policies, which pertain to school-based violence and disruptive behaviors. Design school security programs, including the selection and training of security personnel. Evaluate current school security/police or SRO programs.
